Science

Students are getting new baby pictures each class to learn about the anatomy of human development.  Week 2, was given out last week with a small representation of a baby.  This week students will be given week 3 and the baby is no bigger than a poppy seed.  In fact, each student will be given a poppy seed to add to their representation of the blastocyst (small ball of cells soon to become a fetus).  The seventh graders are learning more indepth concepts about traits, chromosomes and DNA.  5th and 6th graders are just beginning to learn about these concepts.
