Subject: Regional Spelling Competition
Congratulations to you and your students for advancing to the Regional Level of the VPA Competition. Saturday, November 6, will be an exciting day. There will be five 7/8 teams and eight 5/6 teams competing for the opportunity to represent their schools and region in the State Finals. The State Finals will take place on Saturday, November 20.
The Regional Competition will be held at Barre Town Middle and Elementary School starting at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. sharp. If you have any questions, please call or email Karen Heath at 476-6541 or kheatbce@u61.net.

9:30 a.m. | 12:30 p.m. | Arrival of teams. Pick up name tags, room assignments, evaluation forms, etc. |
10:00 a.m. | 1:00 p.m. | Team introductions/review of rules. |
10:15 a.m. | 1:15 p.m. | Competition begins. |
List of schools attending the Regional Competition:
Grades 5/6: Barre Town , Washington Village, Rumney Memorial, Randolph Elementary, Sharon Elementary, St. Johnsbury Elementary, Walden, Glover, and Richford Elementary.
Grades 7/8: Barre Town , Danville , Berkshire , Glover and Harwood.
- Certificates will be presented by the coaches at the conclusion of the contest.

- The winners of the Regional Competition will receive details regarding the State Competition.
- The State Finals will be held on Saturday, November 20.
Directions to Barre Town School
Driving directions from North or West: Take Route 302 into Barre. Follow Main Street (Route 302) through town. Turn right at the traffic light onto Route 14 South. Proceed 0.7 miles and turn left onto Quarry Hill. After 1.4 miles up the hill, turn left onto Websterville Road , right after a cemetery. The school is 0.5 miles from this intersection on the right.
From South: Take Exit 6 off I-89 and follow the road for about 3.5 miles to Route 14 at the bottom of the hill. Turn left onto Route 14 North and continue for 1.4 miles and turn right on Quarry Hill. After 1.4 miles up the hill, turn left onto Websterville Road , right after a cemetery. The school is 0.5 miles from this intersection on the right.
