New Science Units for 5th, 6th and 7th Grade

5th and 6th Graders with be learning about electromagnetism.  7th Graders will be exploring recycling naturally.  These units will begin through students collecting information with technology.  Prezi.com is a workspace where students can come together, in teams, to present information.  Students work in a common virtual space to organize information on a topic.  The space seems like a large canvas when you explore it. Students use avatars to speak to each other as they work.  Work teams will present an idea on the topic.  The teams will incorporate a database, Google (student created) survey and visuals into this public speaking project. These projects will be presented with the SmartBoard as a visual aid.
