Writer's Cafe

5th and 6th Graders will be involved in a Writer's Cafe on Friday.  This will involve students bringing in food and having a completed narrative.  Students will be asked to share their narratives for some more input before they pass it in.  Students have been using many editing techniques to produce this writing piece.  Metaphors, similes and descriptive writing have been practiced.  Thinking about similes and metaphors which match the theme of the story have been discussed.   Students will have to do some of the writing for homework.
